Haunted Manor – Lord of Mirrors – Mixing adventure game with hidden objects, Haunted Manor – Lord of Mirrors takes you on a fun ride traveling beyond the mirrors in a haunted manor. There’s an evil entity, the Lord of Mirrors, who has trapped Stan Riddle inside the manor. Meet the other ghosts trapped there as well and help them move along. They will have requests for you, so help them out and in return, they will help you, too. Babylonia - The ancient city of Bablyon (Babylonia) lays in ruins and the only remnants of its former glory are crumbled mud-brick buildings and debris situated in the Mesopotamian plain. This once holy dominion is now shattered at the hands of the goddess Ishtar, as a merciless punishment to the King. In order to restore Babylonia to its original state, earn gold coins and valuables to rebuild the divine realm. While you will be making matches, match three style, you will also have the opportunity to engage in a sim as you reconstruct the grounds with solid foundations, magnificent edifices and lush gardens. To please Ishtar, who is the goddess of fertility, love and war, your main task is to bring love and harmony back to Babylonia. Mushroom Age - Mushroom Age is one of the silliest Mac games I’ve ever played, which is why I loved it so much. It’s meant to crack you up, and as you play this adventure game filled with all kinds of puzzles and some hidden object challenges, you will want to continue solving all the quests and puzzles just to find out what happens next in the creative and compelling story, told in the most amusing way. There are 23 chapters involving Vera’s search to find her missing fiancé, Tom. You’ll meet Socrates, an Einstein lookalike, Nostradamus and others as you travel through time with the help of Tom’s cell phone, a mini-mobile time machine. Download it

Wildhollow – With this fantasy adventure/pet raising game filled with tongue-in-cheek references to common fantasy cliches, solve the mystery of your missing parents as you traverse a whole wacky world of dragons, clueless wizards, adventurers, greedy merchants and near-sighted barbers. Also, raise animals and crossbreed them in order to create completely new species. Ensure that the animals are well fed and happy, and you’ll make a tidy profit. Download it

Dale Hardshovel and The Bloomstone Mystery – Dig into mummy-infested dungeons with famous archeologist Dale Hardshovel as you progress through Egypt’s pyramids collecting helpful keys and to ultimately locate each piece of the Bloomstone. You’ll be solving Sokoban-like puzzles, which will keep logic puzzle gamers busy for a while. Clear every level of the game by connecting the same artifacts. Artifacts clear the board as soon as they’re all matched, then you’ll move on to the additional levels. Download it

Mystic Mine

Following in the footsteps of a previously posted Western-themed Mac game, Mystic Mine takes you under the ground. Doesn’t that sound fun? Luckily, you won’t have to experience any claustrophobia down there in the mine playing this puzzle game for Mac. Collect the required number of coins or gems and finish your missions in the limited time imposed on you. Guide your mining car (or is it called a mining cart?), making sure you switch the tracks with the spacebar to go in the direction of the treasure. Plan fast and well because you really aren’t given much time per level. This fun little puzzler for your Mac features over 200 levels and lots of bonuses. (torch, key, balloon, oiler, dynamite!) Play with up to six people on one keyboard.

You’ll probably enjoy Mystic Mine if you liked Crystal Cave Classic.

Aloha Tripeaks – The next installment of the Aloha game series (Remember the card matching Mahjong game, Aloha Solitaire?) is Aloha Tripeaks, where players take a balloon ride over the Hawaiian Islands and play 70 levels of solitaire card games. The game is based on the classic “Pyramid Golf” solitaire game, where gamers build on the tableau’s stock pile with cards that are one value higher or lower to the face up card, either ascending or descending. To win the level, eliminate all cards on the tableau, moving them to the stock pile. The cool difference here is when you’re stuck and there are no more moves, your handy bonuses can save you! The game also features interesting trivia about the Hawaiian Islands. Download it

Sparkle – Sparkle is one my favorite and most addictive Luxor-like games where you exert your aiming skills to free the Crowberry Woods from the shadow of Darkness. Use your Orb Slinger to shoot colorful spheres into groups of three or more of the same color, which clears the chain of orbs from the board – and in doing so, reclaim every corner of the verdant forest. Pick up amazing amulets and sparkling power-ups hidden along the shaded path.

Thomas and the Magical Words – Combining Scrabble with arcade gaming and a little Harry Potter thrown in, Thomas and the Magical Words will keep word gamers, kids and adults alike, entertained for hours. Tommy has been thrown in a book of spells by his uncle and it’s up to you to help him escape his imprisonment by creating a word path to exit the book.

Treasure Seekers The Enchanted Canvases – Treasure Seekers The Enchanted Canvases takes you to a Romanian castle where Nelly’s brother, Tom, was last seen trying to find the Philosopher’s Stone, a relic with mystical powers. She soon realizes the only way to find him is to step inside each painting hanging on the wall and interact with the characters on these magical canvases, who will then reveal clues that will bring her closer to finding Tom. Solve adventure quests with hidden object challenges to break the castle’s spell, find Tom and discover the secrets of the Philosopher’s Stone. Download it

There’s no made up story about someone getting kidnapped and you having to rescue them, and there’s no fictitious evil curse to be lifted by your gaming skills. Here, you’ll jump right into a factual milieu. While you do play a conservationist, the prodigious information about the world’s rain forests is true. Your official mission is to restore the rain forests all over the world by removing their pollution. The Flower Shop

Our friends over at Tycoon Games have released a new game, a unique blend of visual novels, dating and gardening sim games for your Mac. Take control of Steve, who has been shipped off to a farm as punishment because of his bad grades. He’ll spend a summer in Fairbook, working on the farm, making new friends and maintaining old relationships. Raise and sell crops, and work hard to keep the land well-watered and free of weeds and insects. Stop by the flower shop to buy seeds but choose wisely. Some plants take longer to mature, and some crops will get you a better return at the market. In addition to working on the farm, you’ll have to juggle your personal life within this mix. There are four girls you’ll hang out with. Maintain good relationships with them by giving them lots of attention and learning about their hopes and dreams. Impress them by improving your skills, but if you only focus on one thing, they won’t be interested. Build a strong enough friendship with one of them, and it might even bloom into romance.
