Tribal Trouble – Tribal Trouble is a real-time strategy game where a bunch of clueless Viking raiders have gotten stranded on a group of tropical islands – much to the dismay and irritation of the local natives. Your mission is to help the tribesmen settle their disputes in this fast-paced strategy game for Mac. It can be quite a challenge to beat your opponents. Aqualux

With Aqualux, move around and swap pipes and different joint shapes to guide a flow of gooey liquid from a point A to point B. As you progress through the 100 fun and challenging stages, be aware of obstacles like bricks or permanent pipes that cannot be moved. In later levels, you’ll encounter wormholes that teleports the flowing ooze to another part of the board.

The game is based on the classic “Pyramid Golf” solitaire game, where gamers build on the tableau’s stock pile with cards that are one value higher or lower to the face up card, either ascending or descending. Sparkle – Sparkle is one my favorite and most addictive Luxor-like games where you exert your aiming skills to free the Crowberry Woods from the shadow of Darkness. Use your Orb Slinger to shoot colorful spheres into groups of three or more of the same color, which clears the chain of orbs from the board – and in doing so, reclaim every corner of the verdant forest. Pick up amazing amulets and sparkling power-ups hidden along the shaded path.

Thomas and the Magical Words – Combining Scrabble with arcade gaming and a little Harry Potter thrown in, Thomas and the Magical Words will keep word gamers, kids and adults alike, entertained for hours. Tommy has been thrown in a book of spells by his uncle and it’s up to you to help him escape his imprisonment by creating a word path to exit the book.

Treasure Seekers The Enchanted Canvases – Treasure Seekers The Enchanted Canvases takes you to a Romanian castle where Nelly’s brother, Tom, was last seen trying to find the Philosopher’s Stone, a relic with mystical powers. She soon realizes the only way to find him is to step inside each painting hanging on the wall and interact with the characters on these magical canvases, who will then reveal clues that will bring her closer to finding Tom. Solve adventure quests with hidden object challenges to break the castle’s spell, find Tom and discover the secrets of the Philosopher’s Stone. Download it

Virtual Villagers 4 The Tree of Life – The highly anticipated 4th edition of Virtual Villagers is finally here, and we’re incredibly happy about it! If you’re familiar with the Virtual Villagers real-time sim game series, you’ll see that there are many new features in Virtual Villagers 4, not just the same story and game play shuffled around. The story takes place on the eastern shore of Isola and centers on a dying Banyan tree. First, select a tribe – for example, a group of children or nursing mothers or a variety of tribes people with a mix of skills (which determines your difficulty level), each group having its own set of strengths and weaknesses. Work on your tribe and get it to thrive and populate the island, find collectibles and uncover fantastic mysteries – then you can pursue the many hidden puzzles scattered around the island, and as you solve them the tree will begin to heal. If your tribe succeeds, and the Tree of Life regains its original power, you will then find out the secrets of the magical island of Isola. Remember that this Mac game is in real time, so your tribe will age and events still take place even when your Mac is turned off! Street-smart D.C. fashion reporter Lacey Smithsonian is on the case and her investigative talents, in addition to her razor sharp wit and uncanny ability to wear matching pumps, come into play as she must interview nine quirky characters who appear as suspects.

Youda Fairy – Fairies and pixies are popular themes in Mac games especially among children gamers, so these fans of magical tinkerbells will be tickled to have another game with their favorite characters. With Youda Fairy, there’s a wise wizard who has acted as protector of the magical kingdom but he’s been doing that for 1000 years. It’s time for him to retire! He’s looking for someone like you to replace him and be responsible for watching over the realm. You’ll cast various spells and create fairies, which will help the kingdom stay safe and sound, and out of the hideous and destructive grasps of the evil witch. The game play will remind some gamers of The Great Tree meets a sort of Megaplex Madness. Download it

Hidden Wonders of The Depths 2 is the sequel to the popular Mac game, Hidden Wonder of the Depths, a game that blended mahjong, match 3 and hidden object game play. In this second installment, play through a variety of games as well: hidden objects, match three, slide and collapse puzzles and more. Your ultimate goal is to grant your little crab’s wish of exploring the seas and oceans of the world. During the main game play make matches of three or more by swapping icons, and clear a path so that your crab can approach a treasure and finish the level. Each level you complete brings him closer to his dream!

Annie’s Millions

Have you wondered what you’d buy if you had a million dollars? Or is that just me? Anyway, with this new Mac game, Annie’s Millions, live vicariously through Annie, as she spends a million dollars in order to inherit her uncle’s fortune. You see, her eccentric uncle has decided to pass on his riches while he’s still alive but he’s not sure who to give this inheritance to. I don’t know why he can’t just split it up and give it to everyone – but I suppose that would be less interesting so he decided to instigate a friendly family competition among Annie and her cousins. To fuel the fire in this money race, time is of the essence. Whoever spends a million dollars first, and spends it wisely, will win uncle’s jackpot. In each hidden objects scene, you’ll need to find and purchase everything on the list to move on to a new buying spree scene. Spend away until you reach a total of one million dollars! Note: if you need to use a hint, you have to earn it by playing mini-games.

The Flower Shop

Our friends over at Tycoon Games have released a new game, a unique blend of visual novels, dating and gardening sim games for your Mac. Take control of Steve, who has been shipped off to a farm as punishment because of his bad grades. He’ll spend a summer in Fairbook, working on the farm, making new friends and maintaining old relationships. Raise and sell crops, and work hard to keep the land well-watered and free of weeds and insects. Stop by the flower shop to buy seeds but choose wisely. Some plants take longer to mature, and some crops will get you a better return at the market. In addition to working on the farm, you’ll have to juggle your personal life within this mix. There are four girls you’ll hang out with. Maintain good relationships with them by giving them lots of attention and learning about their hopes and dreams. Impress them by improving your skills, but if you only focus on one thing, they won’t be interested. Build a strong enough friendship with one of them, and it might even bloom into romance.
