I don't
generally play Shooter games (except for maybe, Bugatron and Helix)
so the fact that I really liked playing Captain Bumper says something.
I guess. But who cares, this isn't about me; it's about you so...If
you're the type of person that loves Shoot 'em Up Games, but also
appreciates sleek, Cartoon Network style graphics (I thought I saw
a baddie a la Zorak in there. Maybe?), Captain Bumper is a must
for you.
I was lazy last weekend and I don't have enough time to write in-depth
about this game but I did have time to play Captain Bumper and thought
it was a blast. The reason I gave it 4 beachballs out of 5 is that
I would have preferred to just have the cursor keys move Captain
left or right, instead of having to use the Control key to change
his direction. Also I think it would've been nice to have an in-game
reminder of how to shift directions (I had to read the documentation
and while I know that's where you're supposed to find out about
how the game operates, I really don't like to read the documentation.
I know. I'm SO difficult.) However! Having said all that, once I
mastered the controls, I just got used to how things worked out.
Anyway! -- in the spirit of Captain Bumper, I give it a big Thumbs
up.
