by Wilkie Collins is an epistolary novel from 1868 and is considered the very first detective novel in the English language, even before the most famous novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of the Sherlock Holmes series. Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get back to the game. Based on this forerunner of mystery novels, the hidden objects game, Mystery Masterpiece: The Moonstone, takes you to Rachel Verinder’s home during a party where the moonstone, which is actually a diamond (not a real moonstone gem), has mysteriously disappeared and you’re expected to find out who dunnit! There are nine suspects. Was it one of the guests? Was it Dr. Candy or his often ill assistant? Or was it Godfrey Ablewhite, the banker?? Could it have been Rachel, herself? Find out.
