Ugly Poker is a Mac Video Poker Game that might remind you of your favorite casino video poker machine you've played in Las Vegas or another casino somewhere in the world like gold studded Monaco, on a steamboat near Louisiana, around beautiful Lake Tahoe in Nevada, or Atlantic City on the boardwalk along the Atlantic Ocean. With Ugly Poker, you can be reminded of those places just mentioned - without leaving your home. Call it ugly and convenient! See the Linux version of Ugly Poker

History of Poker

The earliest reference to Poker was 1834, and there seems to be no general consensus on the origin of the game. Historians believe that Poker is derived from different elements of many card games. Most encyclopedias, references and game historians say that Poker comes from an eighteenth-century French game, Poque. This is highly disputed, however. The saloons where Poker games were played in the past are now the casinos and card rooms of today.
